Michigan football's crowded wide receiver battle will be measured by these critical factors

Given the breadth of talent Michigan football retained at the skill positions, where running back Hassan Haskins is the only primary contributor from last year’s bunch who is no longer on the roster, it’s easy to imagine co-offensive coordinators Sherrone Moore and Matt Weiss spellbound by the possibilities in 2022.

They might choose to test the depth of an opponent’s secondary by using four- or five-wide receiver sets incorporating various combinations of Ronnie Bell, Cornelius Johnson, Roman Wilson, Andrel Anthony and freshman phenom Darrius Clemons, among others.

They might prefer to play power football behind a decorated offensive line and a trio of tight ends in Erick All, Luke Schoonmaker and Joel Honigford that has 12 combined years of experience.
