ESPN's Todd McShay believes former Michigan football center Cesar Ruiz might not have to travel very far to begin his pro career.
In McShay's latest NFL mock draft, updated Monday, the ESPN analyst projected the Detroit Lions to pick Ruiz in the second round with the 35th overall pick.
"The Lions lost Graham Glasgow in free agency, and they could find a replacement early on Day 2," McShay wrote. "Ruiz is my top-ranked center, and the Lions were middle of the pack in 2019 in both rushing offense and pass protection."
Ruiz, who declared for the draft after his junior season, is watching stock rise among draft analysts throughout the pre-draft process.
