Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh hired four new assistant coaches this offseason. Three arrived from other schools.
The fourth came from within.
Ben McDaniels spent the past season in Ann Arbor working as an offensive analyst. He took over as the interim receivers coach for the Peach Bowl after former receivers coach Jim McElwain accepted the head coaching job at Central Michigan.
Now, McDaniels is the quarterbacks coach, taking over for former assistant Pep Hamilton.
