Michigan Football: Wolverines Roll Over Rutgers

After back-to-back games featuring nail-biting finishes, Michigan football finally got back to taking care of business against Rutgers on Saturday night, beating the Scarlet Knights 49-16.

For a while it looked like we were maybe watching a Michigan team from an alternate universe. Rutgers, though not anything near what you’d consider to be effective, still had a couple big plays on the ground and special teams in the first half, areas of the game Michigan usually dominates.

The universe was restored to its proper order after halftime, and the Wolverines made it look easy.

Jake Rudock had the best game of his career, completing 18 of 25 passes for 337 yards and 2 touchdowns.
