Michigan football’s stock took a slight dip after Saturday’s loss to Michigan State. That’s to be expected after any loss, and the stock has gone down only a little bit due to the nature of the loss.
In both the AP and Coaches Polls, Michigan dropped three spots. Michigan remains a top 15 team in the AP Poll at No. 15, and just narrowly leaves the top 15 at No. 17 in the Coaches Poll. Meanwhile, Michigan’s ranking in Bill Connelly’s S&P+ metric has actually gone up to No. 2 in the country after last week’s performance.
This loss won’t kill Michigan’s season.
