Michigan Football will have a very unique two-way player in 2018

Michigan Football is no stranger to the two-way player. Former Wolverine greats, Charles Woodson and Jabrill Peppers contributed on both sides of the ball with great success. Woodson ended up winning the Heisman in 1997 and Peppers was a finalist in 2016.

The common two-way player is a defensive back/wide receiver combination, which Woodson was. Peppers was a hybrid linebacker on defense and lined up just about everywhere on offense. Now Jim Harbaugh may be using sophomore fullback, Ben Mason on both sides of the ball as well.

Mason was originally recruited by Michigan as an inside linebacker, but was eventually switched when Harbaugh saw his offensive potential as fullback.
