Over the past few seasons Michigan Football has used a rotation of different running backs. Last year Karan Higdon, Chris Evans, and Ty Isaac shared the role. Now Isaac is gone, leaving Evans and Higdon to battle for the majority of the carries.
Last season Higdon entered the year as the No. 3 back, but eventually wound up leading the way. He finished the season just six yards shy of the 1,000 yard mark. Evans trailed behind him with 685 yards on the ground.
Most people thought Evans would be the primary back in 2017, but Higdon really stole the show.
