It was encouraging to see Michigan football go back to its roots and wear down an opponent for most of the game on Saturday. But that opponent was Oregon State. Don’t put too much on weight on the results.
UNLV will likely prove to be Michigan’s worst opponent of the season. The Rebels hired local high school coaching legend Tony Sanchez this offseason; every other option has been exhausted during the last 30 years, so why not take a shot with Sanchez?
Of course, if this whole thing miraculously works out for the Rebels in the long haul (and let’s seriously hope it does), it definitely isn’t going to work out in the short-term.
