Regardless of who returned or departed, Michigan football was always going to have work to do with its defensive line heading into the 2020 season.
But one thing that should make that work a little easier is the return of defensive end Kwity Paye, who announced Thursday night on Twitter that he would be returning for his senior season.
The announcement comes just days ahead of the Citrus Bowl and is the opposite of what Josh Uche did earlier this offseason, as he decided to go the NFL. Mike Danna is also headed to the NFL after graduating, so the loss of Paye would have left Michigan football without three of its top four defensive ends from the 2019 season.
