At the start of the season, the matchup between Michigan football and SMU didn’t seem so lopsided. After all, the American Conference has a decent amount of respect and the Mustangs were a 7-6 team last season, with a returning quarterback.
Obviously, Michigan football was always going to be a big favorite, yet 35 points is a pretty wide margin. However, after watching SMU during the first two games it’s understandable.
This same Mustangs team was crushed on the road by North Texas and also lost handily to TCU despite grabbing a 9-0 lead in the first quarter last week.
