It’s the second year of the nine-game schedule in the Big Ten, which means after just three non-conference games, Michigan football starts its quest for a conference championship.
That journey starts Saturday, on the road, against a much-improved Purdue Boilermakers team. Under the direction of Jeff Brohm, Purdue, which won just three games a season ago, is already 2-1.
The Boilermakers lost the first game of the year in Indy to Louisville, but fell just 35-28. Then came an easy win over Ohio, before a 35-3 slaughter of Missouri last weekend in West Lafayette.
Obviously, there are very few easy games in the Big Ten, especially on the road.
