I’ve been saying this for months now, probably longer, but there’s no doubt that the top priority for Michigan football in the 2021 recruiting class is Donovan Edwards.
Certainly, Rocco Spindler is a huge priority too. But Michigan already has some solid offensive lineman and another seemingly lined up in four-star Drew Kendall. They could recover from missing out on Spindler.
Edwards, on the other hand, would hurt much worse. It’d be another top player from the state going elsewhere and Edwards is the kind of difference maker Michigan football has had a tough time getting on offense during Jim Harbaugh’s time as head coach.
