This week, Michigan returned back to normal. On one hand, that meant the offense would come crashing down to Earth for a bit and wouldn’t put up quite the gaudy numbers as it did against Indiana. On the other hand, it meant the defense was back to keeping opposing teams in check.
The story of the game points to pure Michigan dominance, but the game was close for most of the way. Luckily for the Wolverines, James Franklin was coaching for Penn State. Franklin seemed to make the absolute worst decisions at the worst times. He’s the kind of coach that will punt inside his opponent’s 40-yard line and settle for a field goal on the goal line while trailing in the 4th quarter.
