ANN ARBOR — The philanthropic side of Michigan football's signing day extravagance delivered a six-figure gift.
The ChadTough Foundation has announced it received more than $110,000 in donations stemming from Wednesday's "Signing of the Stars" at Hill Auditorium — a recruiting bonanza that brought guests such as Derek Jeter and Tom Brady to the same stage as U-M football coach Jim Harbaugh.
Broadcast worldwide on a web stream from Jeter's media outlet, The Players' Tribune, Michigan's newfound signing day show — sponsored by Delta and Carhartt — was a recruiting event with proceeds going to the charity.
