Michigan football signee Donovan Edwards stole the show in the restart to the MHSAA Division 1 football playoffs Saturday, running for four touchdowns in host West Bloomfield’s convincing 52-14 victory over Romeo.
It was an unseasonably mild and sunny January day as the Lakers pushed their record to 9-1 overall with the Region 4 title.
It sets up a rematch with unbeaten Belleville (10-0) next Saturday at a state semifinal site yet to be determined. West Bloomfield has lost to the top-ranked Tigers in each of the past two regional finals.
