Michigan football's quarterback situation is in the best shape it's been during Jim Harbaugh's tenure in Ann Arbor.

Shea Patterson chose to return for his senior season after starting all 13 games and complete 64.6 percent of his passes for 2,600 yards, 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2018.

Patterson proved himself capable of learning a new offense and making plays through the air and on the ground.
