As Michigan football's Big Ten title and College Football Playoff hopes slipped away in Columbus last November, quarterback Shea Patterson stood on the sidelines.
Patterson, a junior at the time, had been knocked out of the game by injury. And as the Buckeyes put the finishing touches on a 62-39 demolition of the fourth-ranked Wolverines, all Patterson could do was watch.
And bide his time until his next shot at Ohio State.
“I remember being on the sideline when things got out of hand in the fourth quarter," Patterson said Tuesday night.
