When it comes to top in-state target Rocco Spindler, the Michigan football program will take all the help it can get and this past weekend, the Wolverines might have got an assist with four offensive lineman getting drafted.
Cesar Ruiz was the first former Michigan football player to come off the board and he went 24th to the Saints. Then, Ben Bredeson went to the Ravens in the fourth round, before Jon Runyan and Michael Onwenu each went off the board in the sixth round.
It was significant because it meant that each draft-eligible Wolverine on the offensive line ended up getting picked in the NFL draft and with Jalen Mayfield, the returning starter at right tackle, getting pre-draft buzz already as a first-round pick, it appears that success will continue.
