The Michigan football team climbed to its highest point yet this season, up to No. 4 in the latest Associated Press and coaches polls released on Sunday.
The Wolverines, which began last week No. 5 in both rankings, along with the first College Football Playoff poll of the season, are coming off a 42-7 win over 14th-ranked Penn State.
Both polls list Michigan (8-1, 6-0 Big Ten) as the highest ranked one-loss team in the country, ahead of Georgia and Oklahoma.
Ohio State (8-1) checks in at No. 7 in the coaches poll and No. 8 in the AP poll, setting up the potential for a top-10 showdown in Columbus, Ohio, on Nov.
