Michigan football has been on a roll on the recruiting trail recently, adding eight prospects to its 2019 class since June 22. As of Monday, the Wolverines have 18 commitments and the nation’s third-ranked class, according to the 247Sports Composite.
And they aren’t finished yet, either. What Michigan has done, according to 247Sports recruiting analyst Steve Lorenz, is set the foundation of the class early. That gives the Wolverines an opportunity to focus their efforts on who Lorenz calls the “big dogs” — the top-ranked recruits who wait until fall or winter to make a decision.
