Steve Lorenz of Wolverine247 has confirmed that 2016 five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary (Paramus, New Jersey) will be taking his official Michigan football visit this Saturday for the BYU game.
Gary is ranked as the top player in the 2016 class and could become Michigan’s second defensive tackle commit, alongside three-star tackle Rashad Weaver (Fort Lauderdale, Florida).
Michigan will be Gary’s first official visit in this home stretch of the recruitment process. So far his only other scheduled official visit is to Auburn on Nov. 28 for the Iron Bowl against Alabama.
The Wolverines were once considered favorites for Gary, but other programs like Alabama, Auburn and LSU have found themselves in the mix for the elite defensive tackle.
