The wait for the No. 1 player in the country is finally over. Michigan laded defensive tackle Rashan Gary (Paramus, New Jersey), who chose the Wolverines over Clemson.
Gary dwindled his list down to the Clemson and Michigan before choosing the Wolverines. Auburn and Alabama were long thought to also be in the mix on National Signing Day, but Gary eliminated them just days before his decision.
The No. 1 overall player in the 2016 recruiting class, Gary played his high school football at Paramus Catholic in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, where he built friendships with current Michigan players and coaches.
