Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh did not give much of a formal update on the health status of either senior running back Karan Higdon or junior Chris Evans on Monday afternoon.
The Wolverines (2-1) will open up Big Ten play Saturday against Nebraska (0-2) at Michigan Stadium (noon, FS1).
"As they come in today we'll see where they're at," Harbaugh said. "Day-by-day."
Higdon missed Saturday's win over SMU with an apparent lower-body injury that was suffered earlier in the week during practice. Higdon, Michigan's leading rusher, went through warmups before the game but ultimately decided he wasn't healthy enough to play.
