Michigan football QB Shea Patterson signs with Kansas City Chiefs as undrafted free agent

Michigan football quarterback Shea Patterson waited well after the NFL draft to find out his first pro assignment.

It ends up being a nice situation.

Patterson has signed as an undrafted free agent with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, according to his agent, Brian Ehrlich.

The Wolverines' starter the last two seasons, Patterson threw for 3,061 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.

Patterson was the final 2020 NFL combine participant to not be drafted or signed as a free agent.
