Michigan football backup quarterback Dylan McCaffrey suffered a broken collarbone on the Wolverines' final series of a 42-7 win vs. Penn State on Saturday, coach Jim Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh did not give an immediate timetable for McCaffrey's return, but with three regular-season games left in 2018, it appears he won't be back this season.
"Dylan McCaffrey did suffer a broken collarbone in the game, which is too bad because he was doing so well," Harbaugh said. "He'll be back (eventually), but a little sad about that right now."
McCaffrey carried the ball two times for 14 yards in the fourth quarter for Michigan, serving once again as the backup to starter Shea Patterson.
