Michigan Football: QB depth will be just fine without Brandon Peters

Upon hearing that Brandon Peters had finally put his name into the transfer portal, it wasn’t much of a surprise. At least it shouldn’t have been. After he was basically the fifth-string quarterback at Michigan football‘s spring game last month, the writing was on the wall.

Peters wasn’t competing with the likes of Shea Patterson, Dylan McCaffrey or Joe Milton anymore. Instead, he was taking reps with Cade McNamara, the freshman that enrolled early and was now pushing the redshirt junior for the No. 4 job.
