In previous weeks, Michigan football players and coaches have said that the team was close to hitting its stride. The Wolverines believed they were capable of putting together a complete performance. Of winning big games.

No. 20 Michigan dismantled No. 7 Notre Dame, 45-14 at Michigan Stadium, in its most impressive performance of the season. It outgained the Irish, 437 to 180, piled up 11 more first downs, held an 11:14 advantage in time of possession and dominated both lines of scrimmage.
