Michigan Football: Predicting Running Back Depth Chart For 2017

There are many question marks surrounding Michigan football as the Wolverines get ready for the 2017 season without 18 starters from last year. That includes replacing running back De’Veon Smith, who rushed for 846 yards in 2016.

The Wolverines did not use Smith as a feature back. When you add up the total rushes for Michigan’s top four running backs (Smith, Chris Evans, Ty Isaac and Karan Higdon), it’s easy to see that no one back was being asked to carry too much of the load.
