Michigan football is losing 15 starters from last season’s 10-win team, and 10 of those deductions coming on the defensive side of the ball. As a result, the Wolverines will be one of the youngest teams in the country.
However, that total number could be growing. Something that few expected after Michigan’s great season is a quarterback competition.
Brandon Peters is making Wilton Speight’s starting job look less and less like a sure thing as the year goes on. Speight hasn’t looked bad in practice or the spring game; it’s more of Peters looking so good that you can’t hide from the fact that fall camp is going to be a battle.
