What we’ve been seeing from Michigan football lately is like what we’d see if Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump combined to make one super-candidate, appealing to those who seek hope for a future and are nostalgic of the past.
That’s part of what’s driving Michigan back on the map as the 2016 college football season inches closer.
Players of old are now in coaching positions, icons are being resurrected and brought back, and at the same time we’re seeing truly innovative things from Michigan. There’s a lot to remember—there’s so much we shouldn’t ever forget—but it’s all happening while the program takes tremendous strides forward.
