Last season’s matchup between Michigan football and Michigan State, remembered more for the tunnel brawl afterwards, turned out to be a preview of NFL talents in another way: 25 picks after Michigan State punter Bryce Baringer (who punted four times that night) was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft, Michigan punter Brad Robbins (who punted once) joined him as an NFL draftee.
Robbins was picked with the 40th pick of Round 6, at No. 217 overall, by the Cincinnati Bengals.
Robbins averaged 42.3 yards on his 43 punts for the Wolverines in 2022, down from his career high of 46.
