Michigan Football Out in Front of Big Ten with Wearable Technology

As has become the custom under Jim Harbaugh, the Michigan football program is reportedly looking to pioneer even more ground. This time it’s wearable technology.

Mike Rolih, CEO of GoRout.com, said Michigan is going through a trial period with the company’s equipment, and no official agreement has been reached, according to The Detroit Free Press.

GoRout makes wearable equipment that serves a variety of purposes on the field. One product, the Vue, allows coaches to send fully-animated digital play calls, coaching tips and assignments to every player instantly. The players can then select their position and see what they’re supposed to do.
