It wasn’t all ugly for the Michigan football offense in its season opener at Utah, but this performance was far from enough to officially turn the page over from last season.

I said in the game preview that a bland, vanilla offense would mean good things for Michigan. What I forgot to mention was how that’s only true when the offense is actually clicking and moving forward.

There’s a problem when your offense is vanilla because running backs average 2.6 yards per carry and your supposed-to-be stable quarterback throws three interceptions.
