Michigan football: Nick Eubanks could form TE trio with Gentry, McKeon

Three years ago, Nick Eubanks was a senior at Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage who had just sealed his team’s upset win over powerhouse Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy with a 98-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The quarterback he intercepted? A 5-star prospect named Shea Patterson.

A lot has changed since then.

Eubanks, who entered college looking like a receiver, now weighs 260 pounds and now plays tight end. The redshirt sophomore will be catching passes this year from Patterson, who transferred in this offseason from Ole Miss and was named the starting quarterback earlier this week.
