The Wolverines got a seemingly out-of-nowhere commitment Thursday evening as four-star tight end Nick Eubanks (Fort Lauderdale American Heritage, FL) announced his commitment while taking an official visit to Michigan.
It didn’t seem like Eubanks was in the cards for the Wolverines. Michigan’s priorities at the position seeming to be Chase Allen and Devin Asiasi. Eubanks’ top schools were in SEC territory and Michigan’s rise on his list seemed sudden. Alabama was a heavy favorite before this commitment. Eubanks also cancelled an official visit to Florida after pledging to Michigan.
Eubanks is listed as a three-star tight end in 247Sports’ Composite rankings, but 247, ESPN and Rivals all have him as a four-star, top-300 player.
