Michigan football's 2021 recruiting class grew smaller Saturday.
Mashfield, Massachusetts, three-star linebacker Casey Phinney flipped his commitment to Boston College, announcing his decision via Twitter.
Phinney committed to U-M in early April.
He is ranked the No. 1,189 overall prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. U-M has three other linebackers committed: Junior Colson, Jaydon Hood and Tyler McLaurin.
The Wolverines now have 20 commitments in the 2021 class, which is ranked No. 2 in the Big Ten behind Ohio State.
