With under two weeks left until the start of the season, Michigan Football has narrowed the linebacker competition down to two main players. Sam Dodge of Maize N Brew has confirmed that Devin Gil and Josh Ross are currently splitting time with the first team defense in fall camp.
Ross is a sophomore who came to Michigan as the No. 9 ranked inside linebacker recruit in the class of 2017, according to 247 Sports. Ross saw time on special teams as a true freshman in 2017, recording four total tackles in four contests.
