All college teams technically are in a recruiting dead period right now.
But that doesn't mean high school recruits can't make verbal commitments.
And on Wednesday afternoon, Michigan football landed a coveted prospect amid the recent coronavirus shutdown, as 4-star offensive lineman Greg Crippen announced his verbal commitment to the Wolverines via Twitter.
"Thank you to all the coaches who have recruited me throughout this difficult process," Crippen tweeted. "I would proudly like to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at the University of Michigan! Thank you coach Harbaugh, coach Warinner and coach Brown and the entire staff for truly believing in me since my freshman year of high school!
