The Wolverines haven’t had many players named to College Football award watch lists, but they have two on the Butkus watch list. Linebackers Joe Bolden and James Ross III are two of the 51 names on the list. The Butkus Award has been given to the top collegiate linebacker since 1985. The only Michigan player to ever win the award was Erick Anderson in 1991.
