Before it gets another opportunity to knock off the Spartans on the field, Michigan football delivered a blow to its in-state rival by securing the commitment of four-star defensive end James Hudson (Toledo, Ohio), who chose the Wolverines over Michigan State.
Hudson tweeted his announcement on Monday afternoon.
Ranked as the No. 10 prospect in the state of Ohio by 247Sports, Hudson was believed to have narrowed his options down to Michigan and Michigan State before choosing the Wolverines. His decision came after a weekend visit with Jim Harbaugh and defensive line coach Greg Mattison.
