The Heisman Trophy hasn’t been sent Michigan football‘s way since Charles Woodson won it back in 1997. Since then the Wolverines have had four players finish 10th or better in voting, including Mike Hart at 5th in 2006 and Denard Robinson at 6th in 2010, but it’s been a long drought.
That drought may be coming to end though. Very soon, actually.
That’s because Jabrill Peppers is emerging as one of college football’s supreme athletes. If he was better in coverage and had been seeing time on offense all season, it’s very feasible to think he’s in the conversation right now.
