Although we’re still unsure who will start at quarterback for Michigan Football, we do know that the offense will look slightly different in 2018. Jim Harbaugh has already indicated that the run-pass option, or RPO will be implemented into the offensive playbook.
If you’re unfamiliar with the RPO, it’s pretty self explanatory; A running back will line up next to the quarterback in a shot gun formation, and the quarterback will either hand it off or throw the ball down the middle of the field. He’ll hand it off if the defense drops back in coverage or throw it if the defense bites on the run.
