Recruiting is often a mixed bag of ups and downs, wins and losses. That was certainly the case for Michigan football this week, which landed a commitment from four-star defensive end Jaylen Harrell while losing out on four-star offensive lineman Andrew Gentry.
Gentry was a prospect that Michigan football had gained a lot of ground with and moved into the top two along with Virginia. However, Gentry, who once seemed like a lock to BYU, ended up committing to the Cavaliers Saturday.
Bronco Mendenhall and Gentry shared similar religious backgrounds and that could have played a factor.
