Jim Harbaugh briefly spoke to the media following the introductory press conference for new Michigan Athletic Director Warde Manuel, and he was naturally asked about recruiting.
More specifically, he was asked about his recruiting tactics, given the blurry headlines that have been in the news for the last few weeks about decommitments and scholarship offers being pulled.
“We’re very much out there, we don’t hide how we operate and with what we do,” Harbaugh said. “It’s a meritocracy. In everything we do in our program.
“It’s going to continue to be that.”
This is coming on the heels of four-star offensive tackle Erik Swenson claiming that Harbaugh pulled his scholarship after being committed to the program for more than two years.
