Michigan football grades: Offense shows what it's capable of vs. Rutgers

Free Press sports writer Orion Sang rates No. 20 Michigan football on a scale of 1 to 10, after the 52-0 win over Rutgers at Michigan Stadium on Saturday:

Offense: 9

Michigan's offense put together its most complete performance of the season. Quarterback Shea Patterson completed 74% of his passes and averaged 12 yards per attempt, by far his best outing of the year. Patterson found open receivers and showed a willingness to push the ball downfield — even if one attempt to do so resulted in an interception.
