Free Press sports writer Orion Sang rates No. 19 Michigan football on a scale of 1 to 10 after a 45-14 win over No. 7 Notre Dame:
Offense: 8
Michigan didn't try to pass the ball much in the first half during a monsoon. And really didn't need to. The Wolverines leaned on the run game, and it gave them a 17-point lead. The offensive line opened holes while running backs Hassan Haskins and Zach Charbonnet gashed Notre Dame's defense. The run game piled up 167 first-half rushing yards. There was a brief lull to open the third quarter, as Michigan opened the second half with three consecutive three-and-outs, but the Wolverines responded in a big way after Notre Dame's first touchdown.
