Michigan football gives Chris Partridge raise and new responsibility

Michigan is keeping coveted assistant coach Chris Partridge for at least two more years, giving him a pay raise and a new job title.

Partridge signed a memorandum of understanding with Michigan for a two-year deal that will pay him $500,000 annually. The Free Press obtained Partridge's MOU through a Freedom of Information Act request Monday.

In his previous deal, Partridge made $350,000 annually.

The 2018 roster:

He will serve as Michigan's safeties coach/special teams coordinator for the next two years. Partridge was previously Michigan's linebackers coach/special teams coordinator. With the addition of Al Washington (viper position) and the departure of Brian Smith (safeties), Partridge will move back to the defensive backfield to assist with Michael Zordich (cornerbacks).
