Michigan football just added a blue-chip prospect from SEC territory.
Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood linebacker Junior Colson announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Sunday, becoming the highest-ranked defensive prospect in U-M's 2021 class.
The 6-foot-2, 228-pound linebacker is a four-star prospect, the No. 116 overall recruit and the No. 8 outside linebacker, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Colson is also the second-ranked prospect from Tennessee and was heavily recruited by the home-state Volunteers. He also held offers from LSU, Oklahoma and Oregon, among others.
A former receiver, Colson is known for his coverage ability and athleticism.
