Michigan football added another piece to its 2022 recruiting class Tuesday when the Wolverines received a verbal commitment from defensive tackle Kenneth Grant out of Merrillville, Indiana, an hour southeast of Chicago.
Grant announced his commitment on Twitter.
A three-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite rankings, Grant held scholarship offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin, Illinois and Nebraska, among others. He was in Ann Arbor for an official visit the weekend of Sept. 11, when the Wolverines beat Washington in primetime.
At 6 foot 4 and 335 pounds, Grant is a mountain of a defensive lineman who would likely play nose tackle in defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald's scheme.
