James Hudson, formerly of the Michigan football program, applied to be able to play right away next season and his decision was denied by the NCAA.
Soon after, Hudson tweeted the reasoning behind the transfer and why he should have been granted immediate eligibility.
Hudson explained, “My NCAA waiver got denied. Clearly mental well being isn’t as important as playing time. The stigma is REAL.
The University of Cincinnati filed a waiver for me to be immediately eligible. The NCAA has denied my waiver specifically because I never spoke up about my mental struggles to administration at the University of Michigan.
